How I work

Engineering Principles

Not rules — convictions shaped by shipping products that real users depend on.

01

Complexity is a cost

Every abstraction, dependency, and indirection has a carrying cost. I favour the simplest solution that correctly solves the problem — and I'm willing to delete code to get there.

02

Ownership over contribution

I don't hand off PRs — I own outcomes. That means thinking about observability, rollback, and the developer who reads this code at 2 am. Feature-complete but unshippable isn't done.

03

Performance is a feature

Slow UIs aren't cosmetic bugs — they lose users. I treat bundle size, network waterfalls, and Core Web Vitals as first-class requirements, not after-thoughts for a later sprint.
